​​The Route: Five Days, Eight Legendary Stops

We’ll start in Portland and head north, weaving through pubs, riverside lodges, historic hotels, and whimsical campuses, before finishing in Seattle, with the option to return with the shuttle or travel back to Portland via plane or train.

Detailed Itinerary 

Day 1

Travel time: 1 hour 25 min.

✴️Visit East Vancouver & the Secret Bar (Vancouver, WA)
  • We’ll start our journey with front door pick up in or around Portland, before heading to our first stamp at the East Vancouver Pub, known for a tasty appetizer, colorful murals, and a relaxed neighborhood vibe.

  • Don’t miss the secret speakeasy-style bar, tucked behind a hidden doorway with moody lighting and handcrafted cocktails.

✴️Visit McMenamins on the Columbia (Vancouver, WA)
  • We’ll have lunch at this beautiful McMenamins set along the river. This airy pub offers sweeping views of the Columbia from nearly every table.

  • Fresh seafood and seasonal Northwest fare.

  • Scenic waterfront trail perfect for a mid-day stroll.

  • A relaxed pace, ideal for stamping your passport and capturing photos.

✴️Spend the night at Kalama Harbor Lodge (Kalama, WA)
  • Perched on the Columbia River, the Harbor Lodge celebrates nautical history and South Seas exploration. We will collect stamps at:

  • Main Pub. Hearty Northwest fare and classic ales.

  • Harbor Lounge. A cozy, intimate riverside spot.

  • Cloud Bar (rooftop). Panoramic views of ships and bridges.

  • Cove Bar. Shuffleboard, pool, and games.

  • Ahles Point Cabin. Rustic and waterside, ideal for a sunset pint.

Day 2

Travel time: 1 hour

✴️Spend the night at Olympic Club Hotel (Centralia, WA)
  • This Prohibition-era saloon turned hotel in historic downtown Centralia is a must-stamp stop steeped in Washington’s railroad heritage. We will collect stamps at:

  • Classic Saloon. Lively with craft brews and history.

  • Movie Theater. Vintage-style screenings.

  • Billiard Room. Ornate antique pool tables.

  • Ghost Tour. We will take this official McMenamins tour of the property for added fun, and an experience stamp!

  • On our way there, we will take a side trip to Lewis County Historical Museum.

Day 3

Travel time: 1 hour

✴️ Spend the nights at Elks Temple (Tacoma, WA)
  • This towering landmark with murals, secret bars, and music venues is one of the most iconic stamps in the McMenamins universe!

  • We will explore its seven levels, from hidden staircases to Spanish Bar.

  • Murals and history abound in this labyrinthine masterpiece.

  • On our way there, we will take a side trip to the Museum of Glass.

Day 4

Travel time: 1 hour 15 min.

✴️Visit McMenamins Queen Anne (Seattle, WA)
  • Located in the heart of Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood, this pub blends classic McMenamins style with a distinctly urban feel.

  • Cozy, mural-filled pub atmosphere.

  • Conveniently located near Seattle Center and the Space Needle.

  • A perfect city stop to gather another stamp and enjoy the lively neighborhood.

✴️Spend the night at Anderson School (Bothell, WA)
  • We will have no trouble finding the fun at this whimsical 1930s junior high reimagined as a resort-style campus. Retro classrooms and chalkboards make this a McMenamins Passporter favorite. We will collect stamps at:

  • Soaking Pool. A must-stamp relaxation experience.

  • Movie Theater. Cozy screenings with food and pints.

  • Tavern on the Square & Tiki Lounge. Playful dining and drinks.

  • Art/History Tour. We will take this interesting, official McMenamins tour for an experience stamp!

Day 5

Travel time: 4 hours, or option to fly home or take the train

✴️Visit McMenamins Mill Creek (Mill Creek, WA) to Portland     
  • We will wrap up our journey at the inviting Mill Creek Pub, known for its Northwest menu, relaxed style, and spacious patios. A friendly neighborhood vibe perfect for our final stamp!

  • Guests may return by shuttle to Portland or opt to fly back directly for convenience.

Pricing & Dates

  • We leave Portland on March 22, 2026 to arrive at our first location by 11:00 AM.

  • We return on the evening of March 26, 2026.

  • The cost of this trip is $2,499 per single or couple for a King room (one bed), or $2,699 for King with pullout (two beds, priced for 2 guests).

  • There is an additional 3% booking fee for debit and credit card transactions. Pay by check to avoid this fee.

  • Note, you will choose your van seats in the order you book. First come, first served (see chart below).
